Q: How far in advance should I purchase bus tickets?
A: In summer season, Calgary is always busy to host visitors from all around the world, especially during Stampede Festival. We recommend to book at least 3 days in advance.
Q:How long is my ticket valid for?
A:There are two types of tickets: a one day pass and weekly pass. A one day pass is valid for 24 hours and a weekly pass is valid for seven days. The 24 hours/7 days count starts when you redeem the ticket in Calgary and NOT when you purchase the ticket.
Q:Where can I buy my tickets?
A: You can purchase tickets online here. If you’d like to purchase your tickets when you arrive in Calgary, you may purchase them from Cowboy Bus drivers or our authorized ticket agents
Q:How do we purchase tickets if we have more than 4 family members?
A:Our family tickets include 2 adults and 2 children. If your family has more than 4 members, don't forget to purchase extra tickets for extra members.
Q: Do you provide group discounts?
A:Groups of 10 or more are entitled to a 10% discount on Cowboy Bus tour.
Q: How big are buses?
A:Every bus has max 48 seats.
Q: What is the duration of the tour?
A:Red Line route takes 60min, Blue Line takes 120min. Even if Calgary has way less traffics than other big cities, but in rush time is between 16:00~18:00, delay schedule can be happen.
Q:Where can I hop on the Cowboy Bus?
A:You can freely and easily hop on and hop off at any of our Cowboy Bus stops. Our bus stop is characterised by its highly colourful and visible signage. Please see sample at Map & Schedule page.
Q: Are tours "child friendly"?
A: Yes, children will enjoy the fun of hop-on-hop-off tour with our safe and comfortable buses. Children under the age of 16 years, should be accompanied by an adult.
Q: Do the tour buses undertake hotel pick up?
A:Currently hotel pick up is not on service, because we have to operate a tour route and timings agreed with the local authorities. However some hotels are situated close to Cowboy Bus stops.
Q: Do I have to carry my tickets with me during whole journey?
A:Yes. Drivers will ask you to show your ticket when you hop on the bus.
Q: What if it rains?
A:We operate close-loop buses so passengers don't need to worry about weather condition. No matter it is sunny or rainy, Cowboy Bus keeps running around Calgary.
